Palm Cottage -Private Island Cottage on an Acre of Palms

 Located in the exclusive Sprat Bay section of Water Island, Palm Cottage is very romantic and VERY private. It sits on an acre of a beautiful palm forest. The Cottage has one
large bedroom, one bathroom with shower, a full kitchen
and a large screened deck (with convertable futon beds). Palm Cottage sits up high and has wonderful breezes and views both day and night. A screened porch runs the length of the water side of the cottage. It is within walking distance from Slow Mocean and is ideal for a couple or family. Slow Mocean and Palm Cottage work well for 2 groups who wish to be close to each other and comes with a golf cart for transportation.
Palm Cottage is freshly painted inside. We have supplied new sheets, new kitchen items, and new decor. The kitchen has been updated with tiled counter tops, new stove, new sink, UV water filter(kitchen) and disposal. It is fresh, clean and ready for guests. Land at the only airport on St Thomas. (STT) Take a short taxi ride to Crown Bay Marina (7min). The Water Island ferry docks at Crown Bay Marina where there is a grocery store, internet cafe, and marina store. The ferry to Water Island is about 5 minutes. My property manager will meet you at the WI ferry dock and take you to the house. She will aquaint you with all its features and be available to you during your stay if you have any questions You are on the beach in no time! The main public beach is Honeymoon Beach. Sprat Beach is the private beach you can enjoy while staying in Sprat Estates. There are several other beaches to enjoy as well. Palm Cottage is a cozy romantic place for a couple. Or a great place for a family vacation. There is one large bedroom for a couple and two futon couches that covert to double beds for children or a second couple. The large screened deck surrounds the house for lots of living space. The views of the blue Caribbean and St Thomas are spectacular. The cottage is in the Sprat Bay private residential area (only approx 19 houses on more than 100 acres) giving our guests access to private beaches where you often find yourselves all alone. Sprat also offers tennis courts to guests. Snorkeling is good right off Sprat Beach and Honeymoon Beach. There are several shell hunting beaches in addition to the great swimming\snorkling beaches. I will provide you with maps and information to help you explore parts of Water Island others never see. The harmless wildlife is great fun to witness. The tortises will eat right from your hand. This is a place where you can really get away from it all. Yet St. Thomas and its shops and restaurants are just a short ferry ride away.
Palm Cottage is within 100 yards of our other rental Slow Mocean. If you have a large group or two families who want to be close to each other these two houses would work very well.

- Ocean View: Incredible views both day and night. The Cottage sits high up for the best breezes and views. It is just a short fun golf cart ride to several beaches. Sprat Bay offers several private beaches where you'll often have the beach to yourself. Views along the way to the beaches are beautiful.

- Telephone: Cingular/At&T cell service has worked well in the past. Verizon has worked recently. I suggest you check with your carrier.
- WiFi (Wireless Internet): There is currently no wireless internet at the Cottage. Tickles Restaraunt at Crown Bay is a "hot spot" as is the Deli on WI. There is also a computer internet location at Crown Bay where you can log on to their computers, check email, and print boarding passes to avoid one line at the airport.

- There are a variety of "activies" on Water Island. Heidi cooks lunch on Honeymoon Beach most days. Heidi cooks a wonderful dinner Saturday nights on Honeymoon Beach. She sets up tables with laterns. Monday nights is "drive in" movie night on Honeymoon Beach where they show a movie on a screen tied between two palms! Just pull up in your golf cart. It is great fun. Hot dog, popcorn and drinks are available. Joe's bar, at the far end of Honeymoon makes mixed and frozen drinks during the day. The Pizza boat pulls up to Honeymoon Beach making fresh pizza and subs during the day. Other events going on during the week will be posted on the board at the ferry dock.

- $1800/week (1-2 guests)
- $2000/week (3-4 guests), includes golf cart
- Children under age 3 are not counted
- 50% rent due at reservation along with a refundable $250 deposit
- Remaining rent due 2 weeks before arrival
- Please call for rates and min stays during Thanksgiving and Christmas
- Rates can be prorated for longer stays
- Check out is by 10:30am unless
other arrangements have been made in advance
